Three-car crash sends seven people to hospital
Seven people were sent to the hospital, including one man who was taken by helicopter, after a crash Tuesday in Hanover Park.
Emergency officials responded to the three-vehicle crash around 3:30 p.m. on County Farm Road just south of Ontarioville Road.
Four people were extricated from one vehicle. An emergency helicopter had to be rerouted after picking up one victim because of the severe weather in the area.
Hanover Park firefighters were on the scene until around 6 p.m., while police stayed on the scene investigating the crash late Tuesday.
Bartlett, Bloomingdale, Roselle, Hoffman Estates and Addison fire departments assisted at the scene or at the station during the crash and cleanup, officials said.
Conditions of the injured were not available late Tuesday. Hanover Park police are investigating.
