•Thieves stole a purse from a customer at Gurnee Mills, 6170 Route 132, around 5 p.m. Dec. 17. A value estimate was not available.

Ingleside

•Thieves stole a salt spreader valued at $5,000 from a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck at a home on the 34700 block of Long Avenue between 3 p.m. Dec. 10 and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 11.

Lake Zurich

•Thieves stole three gift cards valued at $50 out of an employee's purse around 3 p.m. Dec. 19 at a business on the 300 block of South Rand Road.

Lincolnshire

•Aleksandr Vasilyev, 18, of 981 Parker Lane, Buffalo Grove, was arrested at 4:15 a.m. Dec. 24 and charged with two counts of burglary after police responded to a report of a suspicious person entering vehicles on the 0-10 block of Hotz Road. Vasilyev is held in Lake County jail on $5,000 bond.

Mundelein

•Jaclyn L. Peterson, 17, of the 200 block of Dunton Court, Mundelein, was arrested around 2:45 a.m. Dec. 14 on Midlothian Road at Ashbrook Drive and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor, driving under the influence, and traffic violations. Her court date is Jan. 30.

Round Lake Beach

•Burglars broke into a vehicle in a store lot around 10:50 p.m. Dec. 15 and stole a cell phone charger and CDs. A value estimate was not available.

Vernon Hills

•Katelyn A. Priebe, 20, of the 100 block of Hemingway Court, Vernon Hills, was arrested Dec. 18 at her home and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after officers responded to a loud noise complaint. Her court date is Feb. 2.

Wauconda

•Vandals smashed two mailboxes overnight Dec. 17-18 on the 800 block of Lake Shore Boulevard and 800 block of Grand Boulevard. Damage estimates were not available.
