District 300 hosts levy hearing:
The Community Unit District 300 school board is scheduled to adopt its 2008 tax levy at its meeting at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Neubert Elementary School, 1100 Huntington Dr., in Algonquin. The board will hold a public hearing before voting on the levy. The district will ask for an estimated $191.6 million this year, a 38.6 percent increase over what it collected last year.
