Defenders to host 'Green Share Day'

On Saturday, Nov. 15, the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County will kick off its first "Green Share Day". Retailers from all over McHenry County have been asked to donate a portion of their gross receipts from the purchases of those shoppers who present a Green Share card.

Defender members and everyone who wants to support the Defenders' goals of environmental education and advocacy is asked to support this fundraising effort by shopping at these retailers this Saturday:

We have a voice, and there are those within the business community who share the green goal. So, when you're in an establishment which supports the effort, let them know that you are shopping there because of the common goal to protect and defend the environment.
