Light Center serves 1,000th child

The Light Center Foundation is hosting a celebration from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7 in honor of serving more than 1,000 children over the past nine years. It will be held at The Anvil Club, 309 Meier St. in East Dundee. Tickets are $50.00 which includes hors d'oeuvres and wine. Dress is casual.

The Anvil Club, a private club, was established in 1956 and is considered one of Chicagoland's premier dining clubs. It is built on the foundation of an old blacksmith shop and filled with antiques and memorabilia from around the world.

The Light Center Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit, 501(c) 3 organization that specializes in animal-assisted programming for challenged and at-risk youth.
