Briefs: Addison pool feedback

Addison residents are being asked this week for feedback on the park district's failed February referendum request to fund an aquatic and athletic complex. Park officials have mailed survey postcards that should arrive this week and may be returned without postage. Executive Director Mark McKinnon said the future of the outdoor pool at Community Park still is being evaluated because the village's Town Centre redevelopment plan will require the pool to close in the near future.

Bridge work delayed again

Lane reductions and road closures on portions of Route 59 in Naperville have been delayed until tonight. Originally planned for the overnight hours of Wednesday, the project was delayed again due to a shipping delay of the center section of the pedestrian bridge. That portion of the bridge now will be installed tonight, weather permitting, city officials said. The pedestrian bridge crosses Route 59 between 95th Street and 103rd Street. When completed, it will connect to Frontier Park on the east and the Virgil Gilman trail on the west.
