Aqua Sprites: The Aqua Sprites Synchronized Swim Team, Lattof Y qualified for 2008 US Age Group Championship at Regional Championship in Indianapolis the weekend of May 10-11. The Age Group Championship will be held in Binghamton NY, June 28 through July 3.
The top three in each event from Michigan, Illinois and Indiana Associations competed.
Receiving first in 16-17 duet, were Hannah Metcalf, Mount Prospect and Libby Meadows, Glenview. Sasha, Libby, Anastasija Kuznecova, Buffalo Grove, and Melissa Goetter, Beth Schaefer and Erin Winecki of Des Plaines qualified in the 13-15 age group team event receiving third place.
In the Intermediate division, Mount Prospect residents Jenna Gudritz and Sarah Pucek took first and second in 11-12 solo and combined efforts for first in duet. Jackie Glattard, Wilmette and Dessi Stamatova of Buffalo Grove were second and Nicole Dinkle, Park Ridge and Marilee Stonis, Mount Prospect received third place for 11-12 duet.
Josie Pucek and Mary Schiavone, Mount Prospect received second for 13-15 duet.
The Aqua Sprites also received awards for figure competition.
Intermediate 11-12: First, Sarah Pucek; second, Dessi Stamatova; third, Jenna Gudritz; sixth, Jackie Glattard; eighth, Nicole Dinkle and 10th Marilee Stonis.
Intermediate 13-15: First, Josie Pucek; seventh, Sarah Seguine-Hall and eighth, Mary Schiavone.

16-17 Age Group: Third, Libby Meadows and seventh Hannah Metcalf.

Storm soccer camps: The Chicago Storm will hold 31 weeklong soccer camps throughout the Chicago area from June 9 through Aug. 18. Each camper receives a soccer ball, official camp T-shirt, certificate of participation and a ticket to a Chicago Storm match during the 2008-09 season.
