Read to earn prizes with Schaumburg Library's Summer Challenge
Schaumburg Township District Library is ready for summer with its Summer Challenge happening June 1-August 1, 2022.
Research from National Summer Learning Association shows many students lose reading and math skills every summer. However, their research also shows that students with high participation in voluntary summer learning programs experience benefits in math and reading skills. Enter Schaumburg Library!
"Our Summer Challenge is designed to keep kids learning all summer long," said Executive Director Annie Miskewitch. "And it's easy for parents and caregivers to participate as well, making the Summer Challenge a great experience for the entire family."
This summer, kids, teens and adults can read to earn badges and prizes with Schaumburg Library's Summer Challenge. Kids will also complete fun activities to earn their badges. Books, eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, graphic novels, reading to your kids - it all counts.
Pre-registration for the Summer Challenge is open now, and the Summer Challenge officially begins June 1. Visit SchaumburgLibrary.org/read or call (847) 985-4000 to register or to learn more. Pick up a Summer Challenge log at any Schaumburg Library location starting June 1, or track your progress online at SchaumburgLibrary.org/read.
