From the Armed Forces

• Air Force Airman Anna K. Noel, daughter of Gary Noel, and Sara Noel, both of Streamwood, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. She's a 2007 graduate of Streamwood High School.

• Navy Seaman Brenden M. Stark, son of Kim R. Beuten of Bartlett, and John D. Stark of Kirkland, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes. Stark is a 2005 graduate of Bartlett High School.

• Army Pvt. Phillip M. Oleske, son of Dean Oleske of Hanover Park, graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Oleske is a 2007 graduate of Lake Park High School, Roselle.

• Navy Seaman Recruit Alex F. Prafke, son of Lisa J. and Mike W. Prafke of Schaumburg, completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes. Prafke is a 2006 graduate of Schaumburg High School.

• Army Pvt. Arthur S. Campos Jr., son of Arthur Campos Sr. of Hanover Park, graduated from the Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. The training consists of Basic Infantry Training and Advanced Individual Training, which prepares infantry soldiers to perform reconnaissance operations; locate and neutralize land mines; dismounted battle drills, which includes survival procedures in a nuclear, biological or chemical contaminated area, among other tasks. The private is a 2007 graduate of Bartlett High School.
