Briefs: Phones still out in Lisle
AT&T spokesman Bob Beasley said late Wednesday that full telephone service had been restored to about 25 percent of all customers affected by an outage that began Tuesday in and around Lisle. Beasley could not, however, say exactly how large of an area or how many total customers still were without telephone service. AT&T officials said Tuesday that the outage was caused by construction crews working on the Reagan Memorial Tollway near the Naperville Road exit.
Employees park off-site
Some city of Naperville employees are donating their parking spaces to downtown employees or visitors in an effort to alleviate congestion in municipal parking lots and decks while the Van Buren parking deck addition is under construction. On Monday, 87 city employees chose to park at one of several off-site locations, walk or bike to work or use public transit. City employees will continue to park off-site on a voluntary basis through September.
