MCC seasons spring with music

Learn how to play drums from the pros, enjoy a jazz concert, or listen to a wide variety of music from McHenry County horn players at three separate music events at McHenry County College this month.

Admission for the drum clinic is $10; the other two concerts are free of charge.

Here are more details about the events.

Drum Clinic and Workshop: McHenry County College Music Department will host a Drum Clinic at 2 p.m. Saturday in the MCC Conference Center. The clinic will feature MCC drum instructor Steve Fagiano and Italy's widely recognized Gaetano Nicolosi. They will address drum techniques for beginner and intermediate drummers, and will demonstrate drum-set and rudimental drumming, and rudimental snare techniques. Admission is $10.

Spring Jazz Concert: This concert features performances by McHenry County College jazz groups, including the MCC Jazz Combo and MCC Jazz Ensemble at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the MCC Conference Center. Admission is free.

Cor Corps, McHenry County Horns: The 16-member horn ensemble will perform its third concert at McHenry County College at 7 p.m. April 26 in the MCC Conference Center. Admission is free.
