Bring great customer service to your nonprofit
The Center for Nonprofit Leadership at McHenry County College will present the seminar "Creating a Culture of Excellent Customer Service in the Non-Profit World," from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Room B166-167 at the college, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake.
In this interactive seminar participants will explore the building blocks for creating a culture of excellence. At session completion, participants will be able to identify their strengths and barriers to excellence, be a role model for other staff members, understand and apply best practices from other organizations, and create an action plan to positively influence the way customers view their organization.
The seminar presenter will be Diane Decker, workplace consultant and founder of Quality Transitions, a consulting and training company in Mount Prospect. Decker has extensive experience facilitating and coaching groups and individuals to improve their effectiveness. Her results-oriented and engaging approach helps participants to get excited about learning and growing.
Prior to starting Quality Transitions, Decker worked for Procter and Gamble in customer service, human resource development and operations management. She earned her bachelor's degree from Purdue University and her master of business administration from Xavier University.
Decker teaches continuing and professional education classes at DePaul University. She is certified as a professional facilitator and has co-authored two publications.
