• Timothy James Vedder of Lake Zurich graduated with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Iowa State University at the December 2007 commencement ceremony in Ames.
• Jessica Wing-Yung Hui, daughter of Drs. Ho-Wah and Julia Hui of Libertyville, was named to the College of Arts and Science's fall 2007 dean's list at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.
• Carl Chomko, son of Jim and Lorrie Chomko of Vernon Hills, and a freshman at Greenville (Illinois) College, made the fall 2007 dean's list for having at least a 3.25 grade point average.
• Charles Payseur of Mundelein, a student majoring in English in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire was named to the 2007-08 fall deans' list for having at least a 3.70 average.
• Lindsay Kelderhouse of Island Lake, a senior majoring in chemistry and biology at Central College, Pella, Iowa, was named to the fall 2007 dean's list for achieving at least a 3.5 grade point average. She is the daughter of Paul and Sue Kelderhouse, Wauconda.
• Christine Marie Marchinski of Libertyville was listed on the chancellor's honor roll for the fall 2007-08 semester at the University of Mississippi, Oxford, for achieving at least a 3.75 GPA.
• David Bennett of Mundelein, a student majoring in English in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire was named to the 2007-08 fall deans' list for having at least a 3.70 average.
