Harper to host its College Night
The annual College Night at Harper College, Euclid and Roselle roads, Palatine, will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. April 8 in the Harper College Wellness and Sport Center in Building M.
The evening will include representatives from more than 200 colleges and universities throughout the nation.

Grandparents can attend care group
The Grandparents as Caregivers group will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 10 at Euclid School, 1211 N. Wheeling Road, Mount Prospect. The topic is "Children and Fears."
This is an opportunity to meet other grandparents, share concerns and talk about topics designed to help grandparents care for their grandchildren.
Free child care is available, if needed. The group meets monthly and is sponsored by Catholic Charities, Euclid School and Children's Home and Aid.

Family to share life with Asperger's
Golden Apple nominated high school teacher Maureen Donehey and her son, Jack Donehey-Nykiel, will present "Living with Asperger's: One Family's Story" at 7 p.m. April 10 at the Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood, Des Plaines.
Jack, a young adult who was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome at the age of 14, will discuss the challenges and benefits that high functioning autism have brought to him in his life.

Moving Force receives gold, silver
Moving Force, the dance company of the Elk Grove Park District, recently participated in the BravO! National Dance and Talent Competition.
During the three-day event in Libertyville, in which both the Junior and Senior teams participated, Moving Force received 10 gold and four silver trophies.
Their next competition is with Dance Makers Inc. April 11-13 at the Hyatt Regency in Schaumburg.

Golf Main artists to exhibit at library
Students of Winnie Siebert, instructor of the Golf Maine Park District Art Workshops, are exhibiting about 40 paintings representing different media, from pencils and pastels to acrylics and oils.
They will be on display through April 30 at the Morton Grove Library, 6140 N. Lincoln Ave., Morton Grove.
Golf Maine Park District is based in Niles.
