Spring Celebration being coordinated

The Cary Grove Chamber is coordinating the third annual Spring Celebration event to showcase Fox River Grove businesses and expose local consumers to the products and services available in the community.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 19 at Stone Hill Center and Foxmoor Crossings at routes 14 and 22. Both members and nonmembers are encouraged to participate.

The event will feature an upscale garage sale by the Fox River Grove Lioness Club, a pet parade with a best dressed pet contest, Alex & the Allstars band, children's activities, Weber cooking demonstrations, free food and refreshments, local performers, raffles, sale merchandise and more.

Men wanted for soccer leagues

The Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation Department is now forming soccer leagues for men 18 years and older. Teams consist of 11 players, and the number of games will be based on the number of teams registered. Games will be played at Normandy Park, 680 Normandy Lane.
