Algonquin

• A Streamwood man was accused of drunken driving at 2 a.m. Saturday at Algonquin Commons, police said. Cash N. Carey, 21, of 161 Hazelnut Place, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a traffic signal, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Carey posted $100 bond and was given court dates on May 6 and 8 at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Carpentersville

• A Woodstock man clocked at 75 mph at 3:51 a.m. Saturday on Route 25 fled when police tried to pull him over, drove into a parking lot, over a grassy embankment onto Bannock Road, struck a snow plow on the 100 block of Scott Drive in East Dundee and then fled on foot, police said. Adrian Douglas Raiford, 21, of 401 W. Jackson St. #7, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and attempting to elude a police officer, police said. Raiford also was ticketed for speeding, no insurance, improper lane use and leaving the scene of a property damage accident, police said. Raiford was held in the Kane County jail on $15,000 bond and was given an April 17 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center. Raiford also was charged by Algonquin police with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to give aid or information after being involved in an accident and no proof of insurance, police said. He is scheduled to appear in court in Woodstock on May 14 on the Algonquin charges.

• A Carpentersville man was accused Saturday of using another person's credit card, police said. Omar Fantauzzi-Vasquez, 20, of 1413 Plainview Road, was charged with felony credit card fraud, police said. Fantauzzi-Vasquez was unable to post a $2,000 bond set on the charge and remains in the Kane County jail with an April 9 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Elgin

• An Elgin man was arrested on a drug charge during a traffic stop at 12:15 a.m. Monday on the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue, police said. Angel Perez, 18, of 750 Dundee Ave., Elgin, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after cocaine was found, police said. Perez posted $400 bond and was given an April 15 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• A Chicago man was accused of firing gunshots at 11:08 p.m. Friday on the 1200 block of Fleetwood Avenue, police said. Korey Paxton, 20, of 12121 Racine, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, aggravated discharge of a firearm, obstructing justice and no firearm owner's identification card, police said. Paxton was held in the Kane County jail on $15,000 bond with an April 17 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Gilberts

• A dispute between two men over a parking space at 24 Center St. before noon Monday erupted into an argument and one man pulled a gun, police said. The man with the gun said he was defending himself because the victim was being aggressive, police said. Curtis Mueller, 47, of 1324 Knollwood Drive, Crystal Lake, was charged with possession of a firearm and aggravated assault, police said. He was held in the Kane County jail for a bond hearing scheduled for today.
