Consumers Credit Union Announces Board Election Results

Consumers Credit Union (CCU; $1.4 Billion, Waukegan, IL) recently held its 90th Annual Meeting at Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee, Illinois. Members and guests attending the event, held prior to the implementation of the state's social distancing guidelines, received a comprehensive update on the Member-owned credit union's performance from 2019, copies of the 2019 Annual Report and CEO Sean M. Rathjen's vision of where Consumers Credit Union is headed in 2020 and beyond.

One of the highlights of the Annual Meeting was the election of five (5) candidates to three (3) year terms on the credit union's Board of Directors. The newly elected Board members are Denise Charts, Libertyville; Shawn Clisham, Prospect Heights; Scott Drabicki, Vernon Hills; John Janezic, Green Oaks; and, Spiridoula (Litza) Mavrothalasitis, Chicago. A key difference between credit unions and banks is that Consumers Credit Union's Board members are all unpaid volunteers.

The credit union held its annual organizational meeting at its next regularly scheduled Board Meeting, where CCU's Executive Committee was selected among the thirteen (13) Board Members. The Executive Committee for the coming year consists of John R. Janezic, Chairman; Scott Drabicki, Vice-Chairman; Denise Charts, Secretary; Frank Soyka, Treasurer; and, Joseph M. Rajcevich, Chair of the Supervisory Committee.
