Green legislators lauded

Sandy Cole of Grayslake, Kathy Ryg of Vernon Hills and Eddie Washington of Waukegan had perfect voting records on environmental issues, according t the Illinois Environmental Council. The General Assembly last year had one of its most productive sessions ever for environmental issues, according to the group. The legislature passed measures that supported clean and affordable energy, open space acquisition and preservation, protection against toxic pollution and the Great Lakes. The three were honored last week during an awards dinner in Springfield.
