Hop out to 'Sparrow' fundraiser

Home of the Sparrow will present its annual gala fundraiser on April 5 at Bull Valley Country Club in Woodstock. The theme for the event is "Happy Days Sock Hop."

All area residents are invited to gather some friends and come out to enjoy dinner, entertainment and raffles, as well as silent and live auctions; 1950s attire is optional.

Home of the Sparrow, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) agency located in Crystal Lake, will use proceeds from the event to provide transitional housing, counseling and support services for homeless women and their children in northern Illinois.

Volunteers are needed to help decorate and also work the night of the gala. If you are interested in helping or would like to receive an invitation to the gala, call Caryn at (815) 444-1660, ext. 30.
