German American Club of Antioch: The German American Club of Antioch will hold is annual Faschings (Masquerade) Dance at 6 p.m. Saturday at the V.F.W. Hall in Lake Villa, 130 E. Grand Ave. Come in costume. $8. For details and tickets, call Dorothy at (847) 356-5484.
NSDAR Signal Hill Chapter: National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Signal Hill Chapter will announce the winners of its annual American History Essay and Good Citizen Award 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Barrington Public Library, 505 N. Northwest Highway, Barrington. Refreshments will be served.

Gurnee Woman's Club: All ladies are invited to attend the Gurnee Woman's Club meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the Gurnee Community Church Fellowship Hall, 4555 Old Grand Ave. The program "Neighborhood Watch" will be presented by the Gurnee Police Department. Refreshments will be served.
Beth Judea's Men's Club: Congregation Beth Judea's Men's Club will host "Hebrew Literacy Class 2" beginning Monday. The 12-week course will be held from 8 to 9 p.m. on Monday nights and teach how to improve reading skills. The class is open to any adult who has taken the basic Hebrew Literacy class. American Association of University Women: Waukegan Area Branch of American Association of University Women will sponsor the following events:

Lake Country Audubon Society: The Lake Country Audubon Society will present Dr. David Willard and his program on Madagascar when the club meets 7:30 p.m. Monday, in the upstairs meeting room of the Libertyville Village Hall, 118 W. Fox Valley Rocketeers: The Fox Valley Rocketeers, a local club of model rocketry enthusiasts, will hold its February meeting from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Monday at the Woodstock Public Library. Wauconda Township Seniors: The Wauconda Township Seniors Club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Wauconda Township Hall, 505 Bonner Road. Paramedics will be available from 12:30 to 1 p.m. for blood pressure screening. All seniors are invited to join the club for a surprise program. Coffee and dessert served.
American Society for Quality: The Northeastern Illinois Section of the American Society for Quality will meet 6 p.m. Thursday at New China Buffet, 1161 S. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. This meeting will be the first in a series to study and discuss the ISO standard for auditing. Cost of dinner is $5; no charge for the meeting.
Citizens for Conservation: Citizens for Conservation will hold its annual meeting Thursday at the Barrington Area Library, 505 N. Northwest Highway, Barrington. Don Coursey, professor at Harris Graduate School of Public Policy, will present "Operation Lifeboat: what gets saved?" Refreshments, displays and opportunities to visit with education birds from Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation begins at 6:30 p.m., the program will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Bring one of the following items for donation to Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation and Barnswallow: paper towels, bleach, anti-bacterial dish soap, wipes and spray, chemical-free laundry detergent, fleece blankets or nuts in the shell. North Suburban Needlearts Guild: Sylvia Alotta will be the featured speaker at the Feb. 8 meeting of the North Suburban Needlearts Guild.
