Register Saturday for kids' storytimes
In-person registration for winter storytime sessions begins at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Young People's Services Department at the Helen M. Plum Memorial Library, 110 W. Maple St., Lombard. Phone registration will be accepted starting Sunday. The following programs will be offered Jan. 21 to Feb. 25:
• Littlest Storytime from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays or Wednesdays. The 30-minute program for children ages 3 and younger with an adult includes 20 minutes of stories, music and movement activities, followed by 10 minutes of playtime.
• Preschool Storytime from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Designed for children ages 3 to 5, not yet enrolled in kindergarten. The program will include stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays.
• Fun With Books from 4:15 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays. Children in kindergarten through second grade will make crafts, read stories and more.

Woman's club to hold Games Day
The Lombard Woman's Club will meet at 1 p.m. Jan. 14 at Beacon Hill Retirement Community, 2400 S. Finley Road, Lombard. This month's program will be Games Day. Those who attend should bring a wrapped white elephant-style gift to be used for prizes. For details, call (630) 268-8647.
College to honor its student artists
Elmhurst College's annual High School Art Exhibit artists' reception will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 16 in the Founders Lounge at Frick Center, 190 Prospect Ave., Elmhurst.
The show features more than 400 works in a range of media by students from 10 local high schools, including Addison Trail, East Leyden, Fenton, Lyons Township, Morton East, Morton West, Proviso West, West Leyden, Willowbrook and York Community.

Crazy for Chapters to read Stine book
Crazy for Chapters will be offered from 4 to 5 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Addison Public Library, 2 Friendship Plaza.
Students in grades three through five will start reading "Beware, the Snowman," part of the Goosebumps series by R.L. Stine. The program also will include a craft and games.
