District 300 on radio show

Officials in Community Unit District 300 will appear on a radio program this morning to discuss the district's budget and finances. Finance committee members Dave Alessio and Chris Stanton, as well as Chief Financial Officer Cheryl Crates, are scheduled to appear on WRMN 1410 AM from 8:15 a.m. to 9 a.m. To make a comment or pose a question during the show, call (847) 931-1410. Haligus Road closed

Reconstruction began Monday on Haligus Road from Miller Road to Geneva Lane in Lake in the Hills. The closure will also affect the adjacent pathway. Work on the half-mile of road will include upgrading the section to current design standards and widening the road to allow for a left turn lanes into the Bark Park and Sunset Park parking lots. The $1 million project is expected to last about three months. Detour signs will reroute drivers around the construction zone, though users of the Bark Park and those driving to the Public Works facility will have access through the construction zone from the intersection at Miller and Haligus roads.

Suicide group to meet
