Wings fundraiser benefits Woodfield chamber

When is the only time someone can overindulge in chicken wings and still feel good afterward? When it is for a good cause, of course!

The Alumni Club, located at 871 East Algonquin Road in Schaumburg, once again partnered with W.A.C.O., the Woodfield Area Children's Organization, to host the ninth annual Wing Fest on Sunday, July 26.

The $20 donation at the door benefited W.A.C.O and provided unlimited wings, two drink tickets, raffle prizes and live entertainment from the blues and jazz band "Q-Balls." Sample wings in four different categories-mild, hot, extreme and creative-from various area restaurants and bars were featured. Participating restaurants include: Clementi's, Dover Straits of Hoffman Estates, Finn McCool's Irish Sports Pub, Five O'Clock Steakhouse, Frato's, Hooters, Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria, Rosati's of Schaumburg, and Sponge Reef.
