Rochelle (4-3, 2-3) at Glenbard South (5-2, 4-1)
Western Sun Conference
Game time: 7:30 p.m. today.
Last year: Glenbard South 25, Rochelle 20.
Last week: Geneva 35, Rochelle 14; Glenbard S. 55, Yorkville 14.
Outlook: Glenbard South's late-season surge continued last week - the Raiders have pounded three straight opponents by tallying an average of 48 points per game. Quarterback Trace Wanless has been golden since taking over behind center. He threw another 3 touchdown passes last week, completing 11 of 14 attempts for 177 yards. Jon Holland had 4 catches for 129 yards and a touchdown. Playmakers loom everywhere, including the backfield with running back Curtis Ford, who posted another 100-yard rushing game. Much credit for the offensive success goes to the linemen who haven't given up a sack in five of seven games. Kevin Marshall, recovering from surgery on a broken finger, may play defense tonight after getting a hard cast. Speaking of the defense, the 170 yards allowed last week were the fewest the Raiders have allowed all season. Tonight the test focuses on Rochelle's power ground game and two-way standout Ben Schwartz.
