Summertime ski jumping

Yes, you can ski in the summer.

If you're a contestant in the Norge Ski Club's King of the Hill competition, that is.

The recent competition consisted of three rounds of jumping at the club's Fox River Grove ski jump site. Each round consisted of two jumps, which were then totaled for points. The top jumpers in the first round advanced to the second round; the third and final round consisted of the four top point earners.

The event wasn't just for fun - club members charged admission of $5 worth of nonperishable items for the Cary-Grove Food Pantry.
