Waubonsie Valley 8, South Elgin 3: The Storm led this Upstate Eight Conference game in Aurora 3-2 until 5 errors in the bottom of the sixth allowed the Warriors to score 6 runs and claim victory. Storm senior pitcher Brett Huisman held Waubonsie Valley (2-5, 2-0) to 5 hits and 2 earned runs in 5 innings. Drew Buddle went 3-for-4 and Tim Ahern went 2-for-3 for South Elgin (4-6, 1-2).

Westminster Christian 4, Walther Lutheran 2: Chad Schroy tripled and drove in 2 runs, and Brandon Weingartner went 2-for-3 and drove in another to lift Westminster Christian (8-3, 1-0 Private School League) to its sixth straight victory.

The teams attempted to play a doubleheader in Elgin due to a rainout on Tuesday, but Game 2 was halted due to darkness with the score tied 10-10. It will be resumed on a date to be determined in May.

Wheaton Academy 5, St. Edward 3: Pitcher Jordan Torres held the Warriors to 2 earned runs on 5 hits in 5 innings, but host Wheaton Academy broke free from a 3-3 tie with 2 runs in the fifth to post a nonconference win in West Chicago. T.J. Madzy went 2-for-4 and drove in a run for the Green Wave (6-7).
