Garden clubs

• The Hoffman Estates Garden Club hosts its annual plant exchange at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Open to the public. (847) 490-3713.

Gardening lecture

Garden events

• Earth Day Garden Walks are Saturdays through May 24 at 1 p.m. No reservations required.

• The Midwest Daffodil Society Show is from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today.

• The Glenview/North Shore African Violet Society Show & Sale is from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and May 4.

• The Central States Dahlia Society Sale is 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and May 4.

• Thursday is the registration deadline for the Janet Meakin Poor Research Symposium on "Climate Chaos: Emergin Consequences of Climate Change" on May 7 from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $119 (includes coffee, lunch, parking and symposium handouts).
