Sente collecting clothes

State Rep. Carol Sente's office is sponsoring a winter clothing drive. Area residents can drop off new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, scarves and boots at Sente's office, 50 Lakeview Parkway, Suite 114, Vernon Hills. For more information, call (847) 680-5909.

Budget talk planned

The Lincolnshire village board will meet as a committee of the whole on Monday, Nov. 30, to discuss the 2010 fiscal year's budget. The workshop is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at village hall, 1 Olde Half Day Road. It is open to the public.

Fundraiser scheduled

The Mundelein Police Academy Alumni Association will hold its first fundraiser dinner on Friday, Dec. 4. The event will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Mundelein Police Department, 221 N. Lake St. It will follow the village's tree-lighting ceremony at nearby Kracklauer Park. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children under the age of 12, and free for children under the age of 3.
