Plum-glazed Ribs

2 pounds pork ribs1 piece, 1-inch-thick, ginger, peeled and grated2 cloves garlic, minced2 tablespoons soy sauce2 tablespoons sherry2 tablespoons hoisin sauce5 tablespoons plum sauce, plus extra for bastingSalt and pepper3 green onions, thinly slicedHeat the oven to 350 degrees.Combine the ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sherry, hoisin sauce, plum sauce, and salt and pepper, and marinate the ribs in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.Bake for 1 hour. Halfway through the cooking time, baste the meat with plum sauce and cover with foil to prevent the bones from getting burned.
