Green Wave's Dawson earns coaching honor
St. Edward girls basketball coach Michelle Dawson was named Class 1A / 2A girls basketball co-coach of the year in Region 5, the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association announced Monday.
Dawson will be honored at the 37th annual Hall of Fame Induction dinner on Saturday, April 25, at Illinois State University in Normal.
Dawson led the Green Wave (18-12) to the 13th regional title in school history and an appearance in a Class 2A sectional title game.
