Tours and activities mark International Bog Day

A variety of activities will be held Sunday at Volo Bog State Natural Area, 28478 W. Brandenburg Road, Ingleside, to mark International Bog Day.

The visitor center and Tamarack shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crafts will be set up indoors and free nature posters available.

“Pond dipping,” an activity done from land in which nets are used to dip into study ponds and pull out crayfish, beetles and more to identify and observe, is from 10 a.m. to noon.
