Data center could land at former Alcatel-Lucent site in Naperville
The site of a once-iconic office complex on the north side of Naperville could host a pair of data center buildings. A striking glass-and-steel building previously loomed large at the northwest corner of Naperville and Warrenville roads. The five-story structure was demolished starting in 2023. Now, Karis Critical wants to put a data center development on the property within Naperville’s I-88 technology and research corridor.
Aurora’s Copley Theatre will go dark
When the curtain falls on Paramount Theatre's stellar revival of “True West” later this month, the Copley Theatre in Aurora, home of Paramount's Bold series, goes dark. Paramount announced Monday in a letter to patrons that it will suspend productions at the 165-seat theater following the final “True West” performance Aug. 31.

Citing high demand, ComEd has closed the customer relief fund it launched in early July, which aimed to offset the effects of rising energy prices on residents and nonprofits most affected by them. Within two weeks of the program’s launch, 70,000 customers applied for the assistance, according to a ComEd news release.
