Addison Art Guild’s fall member show opens Nov. 13 at art center

The Addison Center for the Arts will host the Addison Art Guild’s 2024 Fall Members’ Show, which will run from Nov. 13 through Dec. 13. Free and open to the public, the artists’ reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14.

It will include a critique by a judge Carol Weber who is an artist, curator, and educator from Downers Grove, as well as live music by a Wheaton-based musician Joe Eddy Brown.

The Addison Art Guild was established in 1976 with the purpose of advancing the development of the fine arts as an integral part of community life. Since then, it has been an annual event, showcasing art, created by guild members who use a wide range of art mediums.

This year’s Addison Art Guild’s Members’ Show is featuring a variety of artworks, from embroidery to acrylic paintings by Susan Cargill, Bernice Murphy, Tania Blanco, Margherita Bernardi-Trahan, Carol Severson, James Halwix, Taiwo Owoniyi, Lisa Lucaccioni, Ann O’Brien, Annette Perone Leiber, Margaret Bucholz, and Lyn Tietz.

The Addison Art Guild welcomes new members, visitors, and supporters of the visual arts to join.
