League of Women Voters co-sponsors candidate forum for US. Congressional District 9 Sept. 29
The League of Women Voters of Evanston announces a candidate forum for the U.S. Congressional District 9 race in the upcoming Nov. 5 election. The forum is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 29, 1-1:45 p.m. The participating candidates are Seth Alan Cohen (R) and Jan Schakowsky (D).
Candidates will meet virtually using Zoom. The public is invited to view the webinar forum as it takes place. Advance registration is required and can be found at evanston.libnet.info/event/11813379. The forum will be recorded and available for viewing following the event on the LWVE website.
The public is invited to submit questions for the candidates by email to lwvevoterservices@gmail.com no later than Sept. 27, 1 p.m. Questions should relate to specific issues within the district, and should be applicable to both candidates. Your email subject line should identify as a forum question.
The forum is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Arlington Heights-Mount Prospect-Buffalo Grove, Evanston, Glenview-Glencoe, Wilmette and Winnetka-Northfield-Kenilworth in partnership with the Evanston Public Library.
