Orders are open for Land Conservancy of McHenry County’s Fall Native Plant Sale

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County has native plants, shrubs and trees available for pre-order now through Aug. 14 during its Fall Sustainability Sale. Items can be purchased on TLC’s website, at store.conservemc.org.

The sale offers a variety of native plants and shrubs. Oaks and other native trees in sizes ranging from 3-gallon to 10-gallon containers are also available to order.

Plants start at $3.60, shrubs start at $26, and trees start at $47. They are listed as appropriate for sun, shade, or wet areas.

The sale features some eye-catching and unusual native plants in addition to more common varieties.

Items are available for pickup Sept. 13-14 in Woodstock at the McHenry County Fairgrounds. Customers are encouraged to place their orders early since many items sell out quickly.

TLC members receive 10% off their orders with a special member code. A portion of the sales from the Fall Sustainability Sale supports TLC’s land preservation work in McHenry County.
