A mountain biker pedals through trails in the former Meadowdale International Raceway track area on Route 31 in Carpentersville on March 7, 2024. The area used to host auto racing on a paved, twisting rack in the 1950s and 1960s and is now used for walking, hiking and off-road biking. Some of the original paved track is still used by people coming to the area.
