Harper College to stage 'Big Fish'

The Harper College Ensemble Theatre Company will present "Big Fish" Nov. 10-12 and 17-19 at the Harper College Performing Arts Center.

The musical, based on Daniel Wallace's novel and director Tim Burton's film, tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest.

Edward's larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him - most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father's epic tales.

Performances take place at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10-11, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12; 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17-18, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, in Harper's Performing Arts Center, Building R, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.

"Big Fish" tickets are $15 for Harper students (with ID); $20 for Harper employees, other students or seniors (with ID); and $25 for general admission.
