Illinois Alliance for Clean Transportation to present annual awards Dec. 6

The Illinois Alliance for Clean Transportation is holding their year-end meeting and clean transportation awards ceremony in Wheaton on Wednesday, Dec. 6. A heavy hors d'oeuvres holiday reception follows the awards ceremony. Virtual attendance is also available. Visit Il-act.org/events for tickets.

Doors open at 3:30 p.m. with the meeting at 4 p.m. and the reception at 5:30 p.m.

IACT is collecting new, unwrapped toys for children from newborns to 14 years old for the Toys For Tots campaign. Note that stuffed animals and realistic toy weapons will not be accepted.

The Illinois Alliance for Clean Transportation is one of more than 75 coalitions across the country affiliated with the U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities program, which brings together stakeholders to increase the use of alternative fuel and advanced-vehicle technologies, reduce idling, and improve fuel efficiency and air quality. The alliance concentrates its efforts on educating businesses and municipalities throughout Illinois but also helps to advocate for clean transportation nationwide.
