Northwest Suburban Women's Club donating Christmas Shoeboxes to Operation Christmas Child

Special Christmas shoeboxes were given out at the Northwest Suburban Women's Club's September meeting to be filled with small toys, hygiene items and school supplies. These boxes are joyfully received by boys and girls from 2-14 years old, often as their first gift ever. Whether sending or receiving, those touched by Operation Christmas Child testify to the power of a gift-filled shoebox.

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse, an international relief organization. (www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/both-sides-of-the-box). Its mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities.

Northwest Suburban Woman's Club is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit that supports local, state and national organizations with time and monetary donations.
