More than 50 wines on the tasting menu at Cosley Zoo's 'Uncorked' Sept. 21

Get your "Uncorked" wine glass ready to be filled with the good stuff on Thursday, Sept. 21, when this year's Cosley Zoo "Uncorked" turns the zoo's grounds into an evening of wine tasting for a noble cause.

The annual autumn tradition, which first debuted in 2009, will be 5 to 7:30 p.m. It offers attendees the chance to sample more than 50 different wines. Proceeds will benefit Cosley Zoo.

While sipping, tasting and mingling, visitors in the zoo's serene suburban oasis will be surrounded by the zoo's resident animals, including lynx, foxes, llamas, cows, pigs, goats and sheep.

Famous Liquors will donate 10% of all proceeds from wine orders placed on the night of the event to Cosley Zoo.

Wine may be the main menu item at the event, but visitors will also be tempted by an array of appetizers and fancy dessert options.

Guests can also enjoy two raffles for a chance to go home with prizes and a 50/50 cash drawing.

To complete the mood, there will be live entertainment featuring Eric Howell, and visits with select zoo animals.

Tickets are $50 per person. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Uncorked will go on, rain or shine. No refunds will be available.

The first 450 guests will receive a commemorative wine glass. For more information or tickets, visit cosleyzoo.org.

"Uncorked" is sponsored by Fairhaven Wealth Management, Smile Doctors, and Famous Liquors.

Nestled on five acres, Cosley Zoo is home to farm animals and native wildlife. Zoo-goers can explore exhibits that immerse them in natural habitats for white-tailed deer, red fox, Blanding's turtles, a coyote, and more. Cosley Zoo is also a center for animal education and conservation, offering programs that teach young and old how to care for the world around them and give back to the communities in which they live, work, and play
