Huntley church's Artist Series presents The Cat's Pajamas Vocal Band Oct. 7

On Saturday, Oct. 7, the Cat's Pajamas Vocal Band will present "Feel the Music," a free concert featuring their high-energy brand of a cappella tunes, at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church in Huntley.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the church, 10805 Main St.

No tickets are required for this performance and freewill donations are gratefully accepted. The public is invited to hear this entertaining performance.

Sponsored by the SOTP Artist Series, The Cat's Pajamas Vocal Band is a five-person a cappella group that has been touring around the world since 2005.

Founder Brian Skinner is joined by Dale Powell, Peter Yang, Donovan Germain, and Michael Samsky for a high-octane performance that creates all the sounds of a band - guitar, drums, bass, and trumpets - with only their talented voices. They don't need instruments as they create thousands of sounds by harnessing the power of the human voice.

The Cat's Pajamas Vocal Band has been featured on "Next Great American Band," "America's Got Talent" and season 3 of NBC's "The Sing-Off." For many years, they performed on a variety of cruise ships as guest entertainers and have performed over 200 shows a year at the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre and Music City Centre Theatre in Branson, Missouri. They perform at other corporate shows, fairs, festivals, and more and have raised over $120,000 for music education programs across the country.

Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Mark Boster and Pastor Ryan Mackey, has served the Huntley community for over 20 years.
