Mobile Drivers Express Unit coming to Schaumburg Library
Schaumburg Township District Library welcomes the Illinois Secretary of State's Mobile Drivers Express Unit for select services on Aug. 3, 17 and 24.
The Secretary of State's Mobile Unit will be providing services on-site at all three Schaumburg Library locations. Available services include:
• Driver's license/state ID card renewal, replacement or correction.
• State identification card first time issuance, renewal, duplicate or corrected.
• Vehicle registration stickers for registration expiring within the current year.
• Organ and tissue donor/voter registration with a license or ID application.
Real ID applications and driver's tests will not be administrated at this event.
Cash will not be accepted.
Seniors 65 and older will not be charged for a state ID. Seniors 75 and older must visit a permanent Secretary of State Drivers Facility to renew driver's licenses.
Acceptable forms of ID/identification can be found at ILsos.gov.
Acceptable forms of payment include Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover credit and debit cards (all credit or debit payments incur a transaction fee); and personal check or money order (must be exact amount with date of transaction/not postdated).
The Mobile Drivers Express Unit will be at the Central Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3; the Hoffman Estates Branch, 1550 Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17; and the Hanover Park Branch, 1266 Irving Park Road, Hanover Park, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday Aug. 24.
