'Cinderella' comes to the Wheaton North stage April 27-29

Wheaton North Performing Arts is putting on Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," the Broadway adaptation of one of the most famous fairy tales of all time.

Ella, played by Holly Wiper, sets off on her own adventure as her path crosses with Prince Topher, played by Cole Morgan.

Prince Topher is trying to find his own place in the Kingdom. As Ella wishes to attend the prince's ball she encounters Marie, her fairy godmother, played by Katie Payne, who will help her get ready for her big night.

This updated version of the beloved classic story includes the characters you know, Madame, played by Lily Klopfenstein; Gabrielle, played by Maisie Zink; and Charlotte, played by Ryan Mark.

Ella's stepmother and sisters will make sure they do what they can to stop Ella from finding happiness. You will also notice some updates to the story's plot as well as some new characters, including puppetry of a fox and raccoon. Some magic will happen with these animals when Marie gets involved.

The show features many fun, upbeat songs, such as "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible/It's Possible" and "Ten Minutes Ago."
