Wheaton grandma celebrates 99th birthday!

Dolores Dillenkoffer has always been known as "Grandma Dee."

Many people remember Grandma Dee from her 52 years working as a waitress at the Cypress Restaurant in Hinsdale.

She is better known for her work at ManorCare of Hinsdale, in the activity department, where she retired at the age of 92.

Grandma turned 99, so her family and friends threw her a "99 Red Balloons" themed birthday party.

Grandma Dee spent decades volunteering and working in a nursing home. She continues to spread cheer as a resident of Anthology Assisted Living in Wheaton.
