Parents invited to visit District 54 open enrollment schools

District 54 residents have the opportunity to send their children to their neighborhood school or they may apply to have their children attend a school that offers a unique learning opportunity. District 54 held its Open Enrollment Fair for parents on Wednesday, Jan. 25. The fair provided parents with information on five programs in the district and the seven schools that offer these programs.

• Mandarin Chinese Immersion Program at Campanelli Elementary School

• Japanese-English Dual Language and Early Instrumental Music Programs at Dooley Elementary School

• Lincoln Prairie School (K-8 Grades)

• Spanish-English Dual Language Program at Enders-Salk, Hanover Highlands, Link and MacArthur Elementary Schools (Students who are accepted into the Spanish-English Dual Language program are assigned to one of these schools based on their home address.)

The district anticipates openings at each site next year. The deadline for parents to file applications for the 2023-2024 school year is March 3, 2023 for all schools.
