Nicor Gas employee resource group Aspire grants $3,200 to YWCA Metropolitan Chicago in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Last week, leadership from Inspire, the Nicor Gas employee resource group (ERG) dedicated to giving women a space to discuss personal and career development, presented the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago with a $3,200 donation to support their services for women across the Chicagoland area - including those currently battling breast cancer. Proceeds were raised from the ERG's "Breast Cancer Awareness Month" fundraisers throughout the month of October.

"At Nicor Gas, we are committed to improving our local neighborhoods through the support of organizations that make our communities better for everyone," said Jackie Nagel, manager of Community Engagement at Nicor Gas. "Strong communities depend on each of us working together to ensure they are vital and sustainable places to live, work and serve."
