Schaumburg Library to offer educational programs this summer
This summer, Schaumburg Township District Library is partnering with historians to bring historical figures to life in educational programs for adults.
At 7 p.m. Thursday, June 2, join an online presentation with presenter Edward A. Sierra to learn about the life of scientist and pioneer of radioactivity Marie Curie. Register now to receive a link to join on Zoom.
Join historian RJ Lindsey at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, for an online presentation portraying Ransom Olds, founder of Oldsmobile, and learn about his life as an inventor, racer and explorer. Register now to receive a link to join on Zoom.
At 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, join historian Leslie Goddard as she portrays queen of celebrity chefs Julia Child. Register now and choose to attend this program in-person or on Zoom.
Community members can join storyteller Brian "Fox" Ellis for a portrayal of John James Audubon at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23. Through entertaining and well-researched monologues, Ellis sheds a light on the life of Audubon. Register now and choose to attend this program in-person or on Zoom.
