Learn about gardening, nature with programs at Schaumburg library

This summer, Schaumburg Township District Library is hosting programs all about gardening and nature to help the community enjoy and appreciate the great outdoors.

At 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, join an online presentation by BodySmart Gardening to learn how to protect yourself from injury while gardening. Register now to receive a link to join on Zoom.

Community members can join presenters from University of Illinois Extension to learn about container gardens at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, for an online presentation. Learn about container selection, plant selection, simple design considerations and more for this hottest trend in gardening. Register now to receive a link to join on Zoom.

At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, join author and presenter Marc Parnell online to learn about local birding behaviors and species, as well as fun ancedotes about all things birds in the Chicago region. Register now to receive a link to join on Zoom.

Join Bird Nerd Jessica Becker at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, in the Central Library Rasmussen Room to learn all about birding, birds to look for in our area, the best places to spot birds and more. Registration is open now.
