Glenbard North to stage 'Chicago: High School Edition' April 28-30

Glenbard North High School's theater program will present their spring musical, "Chicago: High School Edition," with book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins and script adaptations by David Thompson.

It's 1920s Chicago, where jazz and fame are found around every corner. Housewife Roxie Hart dreams of fame and fortune, yearning for her name in lights. Her dreams eventually lead her to death row, where she meets another murderess, a vaudevillian named Velma Kelly. Together, they develop a deep rivalry while competing for fame in the hope it will keep them from their fate.

Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, April 28-30, at Glenbard North, 990 N. Kuhn Road in Carol Stream.

Tickets are available by calling (630) 653-7000 Ext. 3820 or going to glenbardnorthhs.seatyourself.biz.
