Princess Dance returns March 12 to benefit Prospect High choirs

Spring is in the air. To celebrate, Chicago and suburban area girls, along with dads, uncles, grandpas and father figures, are invited to attend the annual Princess Dance from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Prospect High School, 801 W. Kensington Road, Mount Prospect.

This community event, hosted by Prospect's Choir Department, is geared toward girls in preschool through fifth grade. Dads and daughters dress up in special occasion clothes and enjoy a memorable evening together.

This year's theme, "Spring Back," celebrates the return of the Princess Dance after being moved to a virtual event in 2021. Complete with giant festive flowers and spring-themed decorations, the dance will also feature a local DJ.

Dads and daughters will also be treated to complimentary photos, and corsages are available for pre-order with advance registration. And, of course, plenty of princesses will be on hand to visit with event patrons throughout the night!

"We are beyond thrilled to be back in person for the 2022 Princess Dance," said Jennifer Troiano, director of Prospect High School's Choir Department.

"As the community emerges from a long winter, this vibrant celebration of spring will certainly lift everyone's spirits and be a night of special memories that the girls and their loved ones will treasure forever."

To register in advance, visit www.phsfinearts.com and click on the "Tickets" button in the upper right-hand corner.

Entry fee is $30 per dad in advance and $35 (cash or check only) at the door. All princesses enter for free.

All IDPH and ISBE guidelines will be followed at the dance. Check in begins at 6:45 p.m., and patrons may park in the east lot near Door 6 or the west lot near Door 30.

The Prospect High School Princess Dance is a benefit for Prospect's Choir Department and is staffed by choir students and Prospect Choral Boosters. Proceeds fund activities, opportunities and scholarships for students involved in Prospect's various choirs.
